Depression Counselling

Everyone feels unhappy from time to time. But with depression, feelings of sadness or ‘Low Mood’ are more often and can feel constant leading to a lasting effect on day to day life. The severity of depression can vary from one individual to another and can be felt in different ways. Depression is a mental health issue and can be treated using a variety of approaches once identified and studied.

 

Because everyone and their situations are different, so is my approach to counselling, my techniques can include person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT based therapies centred around each individuals needs and what makes people feel most comfortable. I strive to create a safe and nurturing space to help you feel your most comfortable and at peace before beginning our sessions, this will enable you to be more open to a new way of life.

 

My approach to therapy is to work with clients in a non-prescriptive, supportive and non-judgemental environment enabling us to pinpoint how you are feeling and then identify the issues you are dealing with and how to begin treating them.
