How talking therapies work?

By identifying and agreeing your goals we will work at your pace. We will talk openly about issues, explore feelings and thoughts as individuals and in relationships. This will help you to consider how past experiences and current behaviour may be connected. Your goals from counselling may change over time, and we can work with whatever you bring into our time together.

Heather Robbie’s counselling practise is based in Saffron Walden with plenty of parking space available and disabled access.

How long does counselling last?

This depends on what you bring and want to achieve from counselling, but in my experience, you will know when the work of therapy is complete. You can attend as few or as many sessions as they wish. I work with short term and long-term clients and we will regularly review our work together and, if required adjust the process and/or establish new goals.

Each counselling session will be 50 minutes for individuals and 60 minutes for couples.
